Pinspiration: Pops of Red

by | Feb 28, 2016 | Color Crush

Maybe it’s the fact that Valentine’s Day came and went or maybe it’s the glimpse of warm temperatures around here, but I’ve been digging on vibrant pops of red lately. Some evenings I spend too much time on Pinterest and on some of those occasions I end up pinning images with similar palettes. I never plan it that way, it just happens. On one such day, I was all about the shades of red.

The Red Inspiration

I love the super simple typography of the Soup of the Day quote. I like how it looks and I like what it’s saying. The side-profile ponytail image is ridiculously chic and is, in my opinion, the perfect balance of polished and casual. I have always been and will forever be a big fan of typography and clever art direction. I was drawn to the simplicity of the single number 4 and also the depth and variety of using smaller objects. And last but certainly not least, the stunning peony photo. Who can resist a gorgeous shot of deep red blooms? Not I. Put ’em all together and you’ve got a handful of my favorite things: typography, ponytails, flowers, power blazers, and champagne.

How do you gather inspiration? Do you notice any “themes” in the inspirational pieces that you gather?
